ABEC Day Secondary School
Archdeacon Brown Education Centre (Day Secondary School) popularly known as ABEC Day School is located in a very serene environment away from the hustling and bustling areas of city life. The School is situated at #2 ABEC Close, Off ABEC Road, Nvuigwe, Woji, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
It began as a dream born out of an excellent vision to provide all-round education with a foundation built on Christ. The challenges were enormous in view of the vast changes in the face of education in the world. Despite the challenges, the proprietress and founder Dame (Dr.) Christie Toby was poised to enlarge her vision and on the 3rd of April, 2016, ABEC DAY SECONDARY SCHOOL was born.
Born out of the desire to render uncompromising and qualitative education to those who really wish to give their wards sound education, an unwavering drive to maintain ‘THE ABEC STANDARD’ and going by public demand for a Day Secondary School, we have decided to run the ABEC Day School.
It is a comprehensive 6-year private Secondary Co-educational School, fully day and multi-cultural, admitting students both nationally and internationally.
The school though less than a year old, boasts of student enrolment of more than 140 and already making waves in the neighbourhood.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that no child is in-educable and each child has the right to be educated without interference. Each child is special to us and we appreciate that each is an individual and need to be treated as such.
We believe that every child is talented and so possesses the ability to perform optimally when exposed to the right training, orientation and practice.
